Kevin Rupasinghe, who studied and worked in engineering and has been involved with community organizing in Toronto, is running City Council in Ward 20 (Scarborough Southwest).
Ward 20 stretches from Victoria Park Avenue in the west, Markham Road in the east, Eglinton Avenue to the north and the Lake Ontario shoreline in the south.
The boundaries match the provincial/federal riding as per the 2018 Better Local Government Act introduced by the Ford Conservatives.
Councillor Gary Crawford, who has been on council since 2010, is the current incumbent and will be seeking another term.
